Something Someone Told Me to Write

Where have you decided to work from remotely?
Oakland, LA, Seattle, Paris, Switzerland, Lisbon, then back to LA!

Why did you choose that location?
Working remotely gives me the perfect opportunity to grace the couches of my far-flung friends and family who are, of course, elated to have me.

What local cuisine or dish are you most excited to eat while you're there?
My favorites from home (b-dama in Oakland and the taco truck on the corner of W Olympic and S La Brea in LA). Then looking forward to a diet consisting mostly of cheese and carbs everywhere else. Seafood in Seattle?

What are you looking forward to most for the trip?
The people! The places! The things!

And my friends and family who I normally only see 1-2 times a year and miss terribly. 1 week on their couches is plenty of time to make us miss each other a little less terribly.

Where will you work from while you're there? A local cafe? Your apt.?
Coffee shops and / or my apt., whichever gets better wifi (so probably my apartment).

On My Mind

  • 16 more days until I see Tony.
  • Tig Notaro.
  • Paul still makes me tear up, beautiful reading.
  • Wish list: this. And this.
  • One of my favorite pastimes is thinking of gifts for people (this would be great for Kate). And food to eat.
  • Above the clouds.
  • A look into the minds of strangers, funny, thoughtful, and touching.

Two Months In..

Being in a long distance relationship is an embarrassing amount of selfies. And snapchatting while walking down the street.
